With the relaxing of just one rarely-doubted but firmly-held assumption – that we have a separate ‘self’ – the seemingly incoherent and mundane utterances of certain spiritual teachers can become meaningful, significant and perhaps even scientifically tractable.
Its not so important how many ‘experiences’ of different types you have had (sexual, travel, drug, spiritual, meetings with remarkable people etc.), so long as you aren’t counting notches on your belt.
Its not so important whether you perform or are authentic, as long as when you perform, you perform authentically.
